The Great Wall at Mutianyu is quite spectacular as you would expect. The weather was not only hot bu extremely humid making for a tough time walking the few kilometres along the wall. On arrival a map of the particular section is presented to the visitor.

To save tramping up through forest just to get to the wall, the visitor can get a cable car and we were in good company in doing this.

Even reaching the base of the cable car took quite an effort up a steep path lined with stalls all selling the usual tourist stuff.

Once at the top, the views are stunning and well worth the effort. Unfortunately, due to the humidity and heat, we couldn't see very far.
